Kriya to Heal Addictions.+ Shed Negative Emotions

Shed Your Limiting Beliefs

We survived the 10 darkest weeks of winter, but there’s still more to go. As we enter this final month before Spring blooms in March, I invite you to finally shed the biggest thing holding you back: your addictions.

We’re all addicted to something – particularly negative thought patterns – and together we’ll shed the last vestiges of what's no longer serving us as we rewire our neural pathways.

As always, this month's kriya is a 2-for-1 with two of my favorite 3-minute meditations for big results.

Our brains are so elastic, and this month’s meditation allows us to change deeply ingrained negative patterns into positive ones while regulating our pineal and pituitary glands.

First, we'll start with the Kriya to Heal Addictions and follow it with Fists of Anger, the ultimate kriya for releasing negative emotions. If you can stick to this meditation the entire month, you’ll flow into March truly transformed.

After your meditation, I invite you to complete a release ritual (see below) and feed your negative emotions to the cleansing fire.

RELEASE RITUAL

You can do this ritual as often as you feel called to cleanse and clarify after your daily meditation practice. While you meditate, have a candle lit near you, as well as a fire-safe bowl. Afterward, journal on the following prompts:

  • What is rising within me to be seen today?

  • What emotions am I feeling in this moment?

  • What old story am I releasing and rewriting today?

Once complete, read your writing out loud and then feed the paper to the flames, visualizing their release from your body. Place into your fire-safe bowl to continue burning. Take the ashes from the paper and either flush them down the toilet or put them into water that’s moving away from you. Your ritual is complete.
